Lead Scout is operated by Zip360. We are committed to protecting your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). By using Lead Scout you consent to this policy.
2. Information We Collect
- Direct: email address, password (encrypted, never visible), payment info (handled by Payfast — we do not store card details).
- Automatic: searches performed (niche and area only), searches used, subscription tier and status.
3. How We Use Your Information
To create and manage your account, process payments, track usage, send account emails, prevent free trial abuse, and improve the service. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data.
4. How We Store Your Information
Account data is stored securely in our encrypted cloud database. Payments are handled by Payfast. We do not store card details.
5. Email Communications
We send account emails only: registration confirmation, payment receipts, renewal reminders, limit notifications, important updates. No marketing emails without consent.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. We share only with:
- A secure cloud database provider that stores your account data encrypted
- Payfast for payment processing
- A business data provider that receives only your search query (niche and area — no personal data)
- A cloud hosting provider
Provider names are available on request.
7. Data Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. On deletion we remove personal data within 30 days except where legally required. Search logs may be kept anonymised.
8. Your Rights Under POPIA
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. Contact us using the Email Support button on the website.
9. Cookies
We use only essential session cookies to keep you logged in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
10. Children
Lead Scout is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes
We will notify you of significant changes by email.
